6th Grade Band

6th grade band students are placed in our beginner band program at Stuart. In this program, students learn the fundamental elements of music literacy and music performance. Students will progress from making their first sounds, to performing complete compositions by the end of the school year!

7th Grade Band

All 7th grade band students have previously completed beginning band class. Therefore, they are now working towards learning to improve their sound, technique and music literacy at an accelerated pace.

8th Grade Band

Stuart Academy´s 8th grade band is our premiere ensemble. Our 8th grade band will perform at least 3 concerts at Stuart, as well as a final performance during our 8th grade band trip this spring!

General Music

Stuart scholars who did not not wish to participate in band, choir, or orchestra are placed in general music for 12 weeks. In general music they study bucketdrumming, music in world cultures, history of American music and various other topics.

You can submit this google form to receive your school-issue instrument. You can also receive a paper copy from Mr Mullins if needed.
